Healthy Schools Acronyms

EHWB – Emotional Health and Well Being

HPS – Health Promoting Schools (the Wirral version of the Healthy Schools Programme)

NHSS – National Healthy School Status (achieved by schools through self validation, demonstrating that they meet a set of standards in key areas)

PSHE – Personal, Social and Health Education

PSHCE – Personal Social, health and citizenship education

SEAL – Social and Emotional; Aspects of Learning (Whole School Emotional Health Programme – part of the Primary Strategy)

SRE –  Sex and Relationships Education
